Customer Service + Shop Manager (Full-Time Seasonal)

Location: Afton, WY | May–October

Altitude Outdoors is a backcountry hunting and fly fishing shop located in Star Valley, Wyoming. We’re looking for a dependable and motivated team member to manage day-to-day operations, serve customers, and help keep the shop running smoothly during our busy season.

Position Overview:
This is a full-time, seasonal role from May through October. You’ll be the go-to person in the shop—helping customers find the right gear, fulfilling online orders, keeping things clean and organized, and working closely with ownership to make sure the shop delivers the best experience possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist in-store customers with gear and purchases

  • Handle phone and online customer inquiries

  • Maintain organized, clean retail displays

  • Fulfill and ship online orders promptly

  • Receive and restock inventory

  • Help manage inventory system and keep track of stock

  • General shop upkeep and occasional errands

  • Support marketing, events, and product launches as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Friendly and reliable, with strong customer service skills

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Willing to learn gear and equipment (we’ll train the right person)

  • Retail or sales experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn POS/shipping systems

  • Interest in hunting and fly fishing is a plus

  • Schedule: Full-time, May–October (some weekends required)

Part-Time Seasonal Shop Assistants

Location: Afton, WY | May–October

Altitude Outdoors is a backcountry hunting and fly fishing shop in Star Valley, Wyoming. We’re hiring two part-time team members to help with day-to-day operations during our busy season from May through October.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet and assist in-store customers

  • Answer phone and online inquiries

  • Restock inventory and fulfill online orders

  • Maintain clean and organized retail displays

  • Help with inventory and shop upkeep

  • Support product launches and events as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Friendly and dependable with good people skills

  • Organized and willing to learn

  • Comfortable with basic tech (POS, shipping software, etc.)

  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred

  • Interest in hunting or fly fishing is a plus

  • Part-time seasonal (May–October)
